June 22: Garden update

Chris has been busy in the Community Garden! Click on the blue link to go to the Community Garden photos and see how everything’s growing! (I’m sorry that the images aren’t appearing in chronological order as I’d like them to; technology doesn’t always cooperate!)

Please remember to bring plastic grocery bags to Chris, we’ll need them when we start distributing produce to folks in our community. Be thinking and praying about some friends or neighbors who you can reach out to through this important ministry. First we feed their bodies, then we invite them to LLWC and feed their souls! “You are the salt of the earth” (Mt 5:13). “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden (Mt 5:14).

  1. Reminder: Chris has hundreds of heads of lettuce stagger-planted to hopefully provide over much of the summer. The Community Garden will have early cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, and zucchini to bear throughout Summer before the Fall harvest of potatoes, winter squash, carrots, and late cabbage. All this is available to share God’s love with neighbors and community and to give us the opportunity to help those in financial need and those who need frequent visits, e.g. elderly, shut ins, etc. Here is a chance to be like Jesus to our town… Please be praying how you can use fresh produce from the Community Garden to witness to folks in our community who need to learn of Jesus’ love!
