In addition to the announcements below, here are a couple more:
- Bunny was in church today! He just had heart surgery on Monday the 6th, he came home on the 10th, and he was so happy to be in church today! Please keep him in your prayers as he recovers and gains strength.
- It was great to see several of our other families back in church today.
- Venita made an announcement about a Missions trip to South Dakota next May. Contact Venita if you’d like more information.
- Joyce announced that there will be a Women’s Retreat at West Chazy Camp, July 24-25. It includes a free hair cut/style & a pedi! Contact Joyce ASAP; reservations must be made soon!
- Janet-Lee gave thanks to all those who have helped her and have prayed for her.
- Thanks to Pastor John for another great lesson this morning. The main take-aways for me:
- God wants to give us pleasure because He loves us!
- “I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation…Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!” (Philippians 4). The secret of being content is to rejoice in the Lord! Having joy is a decision; it isn’t a feeling.
- If God is not the center of my joy, my life will be empty.
- I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength… as long as I’m rejoicing!
- Remember to pray for Pastor John and others as the Lord brings them to mind.
