Praise God for his protection on so many friends and families in Haiti, FL, NC, VA, etc. Keep praying for those who were hard hit.
Many thanks to the 45-65 people who helped harvest potatoes and carrots in the Community Garden! That was a great turnout! We harvested about 43 bushels of potatoes, and about 1500 lbs of carrots!
October is Pastor Appreciation month. Do whatever you’d like to show your appreciation of our pastor: gift cards, checks, cash, apple pie, a red corvette, etc.
- Sundays: You can now watch the service live on Sundays at 11:00 AM at http://llwesleyan.com/.
- Sunday: Bible Study at 6:00 PM at LLWC.
- Monday: Women’s Prayer Meeting – contact Sandi Burch for details.
- Tuesday: Join other men for prayer and share time at 6:30 AM at LLWC.
- Wednesday: Prayer meeting at 6:00 PM at LLWC.
- Thursday: Women’s Bible Study at 11:00 AM at NUMC.
- Thursday: Coffee Hour at 12:30 at NUMC.
- Saturday October 15: NUMC Harvest Dinner at 5:00. Join us for Pork roast and all the fixings. By donation to benefit local outreach including Newcomb Food Pantry and benevolence.
- October 18: NUMC Potluck dinner at 6:00 PM.
- October 22: Dress a Girl (DAG) workshop at LLWC at 10:00 AM. Bring your lunch and your usual tools, equipment, fabric and notions, etc. Let’s sew dresses for little girls in Haiti! Contact Peg Mauer if you have questions.
- October 30: United Methodist Charge Conference in Warrensburg: 2:00-4:00 PM.
