Scriptures used on Sunday May 10th 2020:

1. God controls your lifespan.

You have decided the length of our lives. You know how many months we will live, and we are not given a minute longer. (Job 14:5 NLT)

Our God is a God who saves! The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death. (Psalm 68:20 NLT)

Go back to Hezekiah and tell him, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will add fifteen years to your life, (Isaiah 38:5)

2. God controls your prosperity

In this way, King Hezekiah handled the distribution throughout all Judah, doing what was pleasing and good in the sight of the Lord his God. In all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow God’s laws and commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful. (2 Chronicles 31:20-21 NLT)

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do. (Psalm 1:1-3 NLT)

Once I was young, and now I am old.
Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned
or their children begging for bread.
The godly always give generous loans to others,
and their children are a blessing. (Psalm 37:25-26 NLT)

The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. (Psalm 23:1 NLT)

For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right. O Lord of Heaven’s Armies, what joy for those who trust in you. (Psalm 84:11-12 NLT)

The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22 NLT)

The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. (Proverbs 11:25 NLT)

3. God has your FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out)

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (2 Corinthians 4:17 NLT)

The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. (Psalm 27:4 NLT)

Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” (Matthew 22:37 NLT)
