Experiencing God in the Adirondacks

For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. (Romans 1:20 AMP)

and all [of them] drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. (1 Corinthians 10:4 AMP)

“There is no one holy like the Lord, There is no one besides You, There is no Rock like our God. (1 Samuel 2:2 AMP)

Each [one of them] will be like a hiding place from the wind And a shelter from the storm, Like streams of water in a dry land, Like the shade of a huge rock in a parched and weary land [to those who turn to them]. (Isaiah 32:2 AMP)

For who is God, but the Lord? Or who is a rock, except our God (Psalm 18:31 AMP)

Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of scoffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity]. (Psalm 1:1-3 AMP)

The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, And he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God—he gathers them for eternity]. (Proverbs 11:30 AMP)

He who believes in Me [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Me], as the Scripture has said, ‘From his innermost being will flow continually rivers of living water.’” (John 7:38 AMP)

Jesus went out again along the [Galilean] seashore; and all the people were coming to Him, and He was teaching them. (Mark 2:13 AMP)

And after the earthquake there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire there was the sound of a gentle whisper. (1 Kings 19:12 NLT)

Deep calls to deep at the [thundering] sound of Your waterfalls; All Your breakers and Your waves have rolled over me. (Psalm 42:7 AMP)

Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song will be with me, A prayer to the God of my life. (Psalm 42:8 AMP)

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” (Revelation 21:4-5a AMP)

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Revelation 22:1–2 AMP)

As Jesus was walking by the shore of the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon [Peter] and Simon’s brother, Andrew, casting a net in the sea; for they were fishermen. And Jesus said to them, “Follow Me [as My disciples, accepting Me as your Master and Teacher and walking the same path of life that I walk], and I will make you fishers of men.” Immediately they left their nets and followed Him [becoming His disciples, believing and trusting in Him and following His example]. (Mark 1:16–18 AMP)

I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior] (Romans 1:16 AMP)

This week at LLWC

Join us for the following events this week:

  • July 4th celebration: The Long Lake Town Supervisor Clay Arsenault has announced that the Town will be having its celebration on July 4, “without all the extras…just the fireworks.” So there won’t be the usual family fun activities prior to the evening show.

So we will plan to meet in the LLWC parking lot for fireworks at dark (9:00 pm). We will not have the usual picnic. Please bring your own food and drink, chairs and mask, and try to stay 6 feet apart as we have been doing for Sunday morning worship at the Pavilion. There will be no common water/lemonade jug, utensils, etc. There are some guidelines at: https://www.aarp.org/health/conditions-treatments/info-2020/coronavirus-summer-cookouts.html, and they say that games like cornhole are still OK.
