In 2005 Ken and Dawn, along with their children, were called out of comfortable church pews and careers in the professional world to serve the Lord. Both of them were engineers who committed their lives to the Lord during Hurricane Andrew in 1992, and soon after, they received the fullness of the Holy Spirit.
Their first year was spent learning a new culture and language. They then moved to a port city, and began teaching those people. Then the Lord called them to live with the people in their neighborhood. That meant living with muddy roads, very little water, open sewage canals, doing without, and no church presence—yet the Lord is beginning to move! The Lord is fulfilling the verse that He gave them: Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate His faithfulness (Psalm 37:3 NASB).
The team’s vision is to see a growing community of hopeful, loving disciples of God through Jesus Christ. Please pray as Ken directs the team as mission director to see this vision fulfilled and churches planted.
